Qualifying Criteria:
1.The student’s performance has been assessed using conventional method of numerical marking.
2.The ‘Grades’ shall be awarded to indicate the subject-wise performance.
3.The Grades shall be awarded on a Nine point scale as per the below given Grading Table.
4.Only subject-wise grades shall be shown in the “statement of subject-wise Performance/Grade Card” to be issued to all candidates.
5.The practice of using word Reappear/Fail shall be discontinued.
6.Those candidates who obtain the qualifying grades (A1 to D) in all the subjects excluding Additional/Optional subject as per scheme of studies shall be awarded a qualifying certificate.
7.Those candidates who have obtained Grade E1 or E2 in any subject/s shall have to improve their performance through subsequent chances. However, in case of only one subject, the candidate shall be entitled for admission in the next higher class, but has to improve before the declaration of the result for the class 11th examination.
8.No raise be given even if the percentage is more than 0.5 percent that is 0.9 percent e.g. up to 89.9% will fall in the group 80-89 and 79.9% will fall in the group 70-79% and like-wise.
9.All exemptions available under differently abled students, as well as, Statutory Concession as per Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education’s Rules shall continue to apply.
10.The Scheme shall also be applicable mutatis mutandis inn the assessment of academic performance communicated to the students at the end of class IX.
11.For Employment/Admission, the actual subject-wise percentage of marks obtained by a candidate shall be made available on demand to the employing / Admission agency / organization.
